🎄 How to Prepare for Christmas Eve (For Santa and His Reindeers)
“A little preparation, a sprinkle of kindness, and a whole lot of Christmas magic.”
Ho ho ho! My dear believers, Christmas Eve is the busiest — and most magical — night at the North Pole. While my elves are polishing sleigh bells and the reindeer are stretching their legs for takeoff, I’ve noticed that my favourite homes — yes, the ones that sparkle extra bright — are the ones where families prepare for my visit with love and joy!
So if you’d like to be on my Extra Nice List this year, here’s how to make Christmas Eve truly magical:
🎅 1. Leave a Treat for Santa
After flying all night, I do get quite hungry! A few cookies and a glass of milk (or even a mug of cocoa!) keep my energy up as I deliver gifts around the world. Chocolate chip, sugar cookies, or gingerbread — I love them all. But what I love most is knowing they were made or placed out with care.
🦌 2. Don’t Forget My Reindeer
Oh, my trusty team works hard too! They fly over mountains, oceans, and rooftops. They’ll appreciate a few crunchy carrots, an apple slice, or even a handful of oats. Some kind children even leave little bowls of water or festive snacks — it warms my heart (and their hooves!).
🕯️ 3. Make the House Cozy and Bright
I always know when a home believes — it glows from the inside out! Light a candle, play your favourite carols, or hang twinkling fairy lights by the window. It helps my reindeer spot your home from the sky.
💌 4. Leave a Note or Letter
I love reading your letters — especially when you tell me what made you happy this year, or how you’ve been kind to others. You can leave it next to your cookies or by the fireplace. (Mrs. Claus loves reading them over cocoa later!)
🛌 5. Tuck In Early and Dream of Magic
The sooner you go to bed, the sooner I can visit! Close your eyes, think happy thoughts, and listen for the sound of tiny hooves on the roof. (But remember — no peeking! My magic only works when believers are fast asleep.)
So, my dear friends, when you prepare your home for Santa and the reindeer, you’re not just setting out cookies — you’re keeping the spirit of Christmas alive. Every cookie crumb, every carrot stick, and every note whispered to the stars adds a bit more magic to the world.
🎅 With love from the North Pole,
