💌Why We Still Need to Write Christmas Cards

“Now listen carefully, my dear believers — this is something the world mustn’t forget.”

Ho ho ho! My dear friends, every Christmas I watch as the world grows brighter with lights, yet sometimes a little quieter in heart. You see, there was a time when every home filled with the rustle of envelopes and the soft scratch of pens — when people sent Christmas cards not just to wish “Merry Christmas,” but to share a piece of their spirit.

A Christmas card, my dear ones, is no ordinary paper. It’s a little vessel of love — a bundle of warmth that travels across cities and seas to remind someone they are remembered. When you write a card, you are doing something the digital world can never quite do: you’re giving your time.

Typing is quick, but writing is thoughtful.
A “send” button is instant, but a handwritten line is personal.
And when your words are written by hand, they carry a magic that even I, Santa Claus, can’t replicate in an email!

When the snow has melted and the decorations are packed away, do you know what people still keep? The cards. The ones with your handwriting, your words, your heart. They become keepsakes — folded memories tucked between pages or pinned beside the family photo, long after the season fades.

So this year, my dear believers, don’t forget the art of the Christmas card.
Pick one that speaks to your heart — perhaps with reindeer, snowflakes, or even a gnome or two — and write. Write for love. Write for kindness. Write for connection.

Because Christmas, you see, isn’t about how quickly we can send a message — it’s about how deeply we can touch another heart.

Now, off you go — fetch your pen and spread a little Christmas magic, one card at a time.
And if you need the perfect cards to carry your words, I’ve gathered a lovely selection right from my Workshop — take a peek here: 👉 Explore the Christmas Card Collection
